    According to the "Edison Phonograph Monthly," the  1914 catalogue, and 
the examples I've seen, the oxidized bronze metal finish was  standard on both 
oak and mahogany cabinets.  That's okay -- I was told by  more than one dealer 
that Edison himself signed his name on all those  phonographs!  "See?  It's 
right there!"
