Well hey, if anyone calls you goofy for celebrating Thom's b-day, just tell 
'em "This is nothing.  I know this one guy who used to have 100-yr. birthday 
parties for his RECORDS."  Yep, that'd be me.  Sure, they didn't involve 
cake and balloons, and often the host was the only participant, but they 
were a great excuse to study up on the artist (when known), play some 
similar recordings, and maybe pull an unsuspecting passerby into the joy of 
this great hobby.  And the whole exercise makes celebrating Edison's 
birthday seem quite normal by comparison, which is handy.
