Hate to rain on your parade, but it couldn't possibly be a plug wrench. The socket would have to be a deep socket, and this one surely is only a hex(?) socket wrench. My guess that it may have been a tool for adjusting magnetos. Remember that Edison and Splitdorf had some kind of an alliance early on in the magneto business. Magnetos did have tming adjustments on them, and this could have been a tool to set timing on a magneto.
