I have been able to find modern bulbs that are very similar to the
bulbs that were used next to the turntable in the early Electrolas.
They are typically used today around bathroom mirrors. The ones that
I use are about the size and shape of a golf ball with a candelabra
base. The are 15 watts and come in clear or frosted glass. The
originals were clear with a small "tit" on the top (a result of the
way the globe was blown), but they are made a little differently
today. If you have the shield that was supplied for many models, you
will see that it has a cutout on the top to accommodate that little
tip of glass.
