Well on the other hand if you list your Phonos on their adult (porn?) side you can take a MO. I'm afraid this P.P only will have be detrimental for collectors. Many folks may use different venue's such as this to sell. At the end of the day it should be* your* choice as a buyer or seller to paid anyway you want.... I'd love to see data six months from now on how many have registered as new and how many have de-registered. Data over say three years. Any bets?

Mostly is it easy and it costs me nothing to do. And, the buyer never knows my credit card or bank acocunt information. If I weren't so lazy I could send checks, but it costs 42 cents each and I'm lazy. I just don't like doing it. And, I don't like strangers having my checking account routing and account numbers. I do understand why so many sellers resist it especially when it's made mandatory by ebay. It's a bit kind of expensive on the sellers side. However, on the other hand I usually won't look at an ebay auction that does not take PayPal. So, I think using PayPal likely ups the audience at least when dealing with people like me. I guess all this is a mute point at least for eaby. If you notice now, all sellers have to take PayPal now. The payment options don't even seem to appear any longer. You may find that those who don't like paypal won't play. You see my point isn't about eBay and their policy it is about what will happen to a market that provides a good resource for collectors. That is to say if forced P.P fees and eBay fees may be high enough to make others think about not using eBay. Maybe the antique mall or sell at shows or better yet Craigs list. Further if less new buyers (blood) don't enter the market and other leave you may see the pickins at eBay dwindle. Less choice is never good. BTW I have a Paypal account and I am not comfortable about it. I rather give a CC number out that has protection than have a checking account always open to paypal or???? As to the postage stamp in the world of phonographs no big deal. Last on those small items like say a crank or a brake or a needle tin, with PP and eBay fees some may say it is not just worth it...to list...! Now that they are forcing them to use Paypal I expect them to lose another 25% of the current sellers. Being an ex-flea market person the profit is very little on this type of a system if your over-head increases and you can't pass it on to the individual that is buying the item then you go out of business. I have never used another site for bidding on records and I am also new at collecting records does anybody know another auction website where I can start looking for the older 78's and misc items from the Victorian period?
