In my case, I'll take my Triumph with a wood Cygnet horn. When I first started collecting over 20 years ago, my first cylinder machine was a Fireside. It plays good and is compact. I was living in the barracks at the Bremerton Navy yard. I still have that machine. I really didn't care if I had a Triumph or not I couldn't afford one. A few years down the road, I got a Triumph Model D with the oak Cygnet horn and reproducer really cheap. I like the Cygnet horn because it doesn't take up a lot of room like a Triumph morning glory horn will take. That about the closest I'll have to an Opera. Maybe I'll get lucky and stumble into an Opera. Opera or Fireside? Let me think about it. ;-) But seriously, yes.....for my first cylinder machine, 28 years ago, I picked an Edison Standard A over a 4 clip Standard. It was pointed out to me that the particular 4 clip was a much quieter machine, not to mention probably more valuable as it was older than the Standard A. They were both the same price. As I said, I picked the Standard A because it had the nice, large Edison banner.
