Yes, the zoom change is quite annoying. You can contact the seller to ask for the pictures. I have done this in the past and is a way of verifying that it isn't a fraudulent listing. I always ask for a specific picture or two that aren't on the listing. If the seller replies with "It is already boxed" or another lame excuse, I don't even bother bidding. If I get the exact pictures requested then I can be pretty sure that they actually have the item.
If you click on the large picture while it is zoom mode, it will open up the old larger format. Good luck!!!! This is a great machine.
