But an H stylus tip is elliptical and a Columbia stylus tip is round. The H will only track if it is mounted horizontally, like in the H reproducer. Mounted in the Columbia bar it would not fit in the groove, would it? John Robles

The Columbia Lyric reproducer stylus and bar is a slightly modified C stylus bar with the early style of Edison ball stylus so the H bar should fit with no problems. I would put a copper diaphragm in it as well, that improves the sound if you now have mica. The 2/4 Lyric has a round sapphire rod that was made for celluloid records and was the typical Columbia design, worse than the Frick 2/4 reproducers he made using Ediphone bars and styli. Over the years I have only seen 2 or 3 of the 2/4 Lyrics on eBay. > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Date: Mon, 4 Jun 2012 22:38:47 -0400 > Subject: [Phono-L] Columbia Lyric 4 Min Reproducer > > > Anybody have a 4 min lyric reproducer for sale?
