Do you put in different styli for the different brand of records?

   I have a Model 50 made of oak. (see mahogany at

  The in-lid horn & its complex "plumbing" connection are less than
wonderful.  An Edison cygnet horn connected directly to the reproducer
produces a very loud & "fat" sound on lateral records. I think that the
length of the vibrating wooden piece kills upper registers, but mid & low
tones come out very well.

 Mine won't track Pathe hill&dale discs at all, and I won't even try Edison
discs on it.
