I found the following notice on phpMyAdmin's home page: "Furthermore, we encountered crashes of the php module / binary when working with PHP 4.2.0 (tested with PHP 4.2.0 RC1 to RC4) and trying to download a (zipped) dump file using MS Internet Explorer. That is why we recommend not to run phpMyAdmin with PHP 4.2.0."
