SOAP::Lite has the same problem, in fact with simple stuff we've done at work it's proven to be less interoperable that PEAR::SOAP when it comes to dealing with .Net. Python is also very lacking in the SOAP arena. None of the scripting languages do realy well with WSDL, esp. when it comes to XML Schema. Deitrich's NuSOAP probably does better with WSDL/Schema than PEAR::SOAP, but I haven't tried to stress it to find out.
