At around 200-300 rows the database was pretty slow. After reaching about 2000 rows, it was terrible. Opening the database with phpMyAdmin (which executes just select with LIMIT 1, 30), took around 6 seconds. Doing a order by on one of the other rows, it took a few minutes.. I tried both InnoDB and MyISAM for storage, but that didn't make much of a difference. So it depends on how large your docs are I guess.. - Matijn
