Um, I think it's more of a recursive acronym.
GNU = GNU's Not Unix
PINE = PINE Is No longer Elm
MINT = MINT Is Not TOS (for fellow Atari ST fans)
EMACS = EMACS Makes A Computer Slow (for fellow vi fans)
PHP = PHP Hypertext Preprocessor
Damn, where's Rasmus when you need him? He *wrote* it....
