No sh_t. How about ignoring the other point I made that 'string' <= '20021010' will never be true! 'column1, column2' is a string and has nothing to do with your columns in the table. Dude, you're coming here for help and people might be nice enough to offer any kind of answer they want. If it's not to your liking, restate your question and ask again or ignore them.
