Hi Mike: I have inherited a Mambo site. I don't natively think the way Mambo requires one to, but I've gotten fairly good at getting the content I want into the right places on-screen.
My clients want me to add a poll to the site, but they want only registered users to be able to vote and they want each user to be able to vote only once. From what I can tell, the polling functionality that came with whatever template they already have installed cannot be controlled in this way. A set of pages that live behind the log-in already exists. But I haven't been able to figure out how to prevent them from coming up more than once per user. SO, I have been looking to download something. BUT, it looks like most of the voting/polling components require Joomla 2.0, and I am stuck at Mambo. Which means, I'm thinking, that I get to write a template from scratch? I've spent about an hour reading creating template tutorials and I think it will be easier for me to write the code in straight PHP. OR, do you know of a Mambo site that might have something like this: http://mike.simbunch.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=13&Itemid=31 (Not that I understand what SMF means...)?
