AFAIK, the ldap piece is still waiting - last I heard it was still being
worked on.
I've been wanting to sit down for a week or two and completely re-write
this, but would probably need to schedule time off from work to do so. while
it is possible, it's not feasible right now (too much going on at work).

Also, since you are in charge of the sourceforge list, I'd like to consider
deprecating it due to the spam it generates (I'm ok either way, just had a
few complaints from other folks).
