12202006 1004 GMT-6 Luckily my district decided not to do any .net tech. They did go with a proprietary company and that has been where the trouble is. Constant problems.
That is why I spent time copying the overall system (what they wanted to accomplish) and doing it in php/mysql/ubuntu/firefox&/OROpera to get so they could see the robustness of this type of system. What is so funny, I just hacked something out for testing but it was far more stable than what they had - and they had tech support. Tomorrow I take that system out of their offices so as of today, this is their last testing day. That computer hasnt gone down one time. I have been super impressed with Ubuntu - as have they since they could make changes and not feel like they didnt understand it - and of course, in my own opinion, php/mysql is more stable for this type of thing.
