Why do you want to use these helpers? I'm still wondering what they are useful for. Can you give a list of helpers that you would use with phptal? I believe these helper destroy the biggest advantage of phptal compared with the zend layouts: phptal doesn't need php to show something in the browser. The designer does not need to have ever heard about php, but he can do his job nevertheless.
