Discussion at last week's seminar seemed to suggest some of us would be
interested in knowing a bit more about biology. A course I took last
semester, "Computational Biology for Computer Scientists", given by
Gene Myers, featured a whirlwind tour of genomic biology in the first
couple of weeks. The course materials are at

and the scribe notes for Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, and to some extent Day 5
deal with biology.
