On the demo site (<http://demo.mailpiler.org>) there is no audit log for the admin@local user. I tried <http://piler.aaa.fu.acts.hu> and there it seems to work (but it looks quite different, so I'm not really sure).
In the meantime I noticed that the search result depends on the language settings. If you have chosen another language then English (or your browser default points to a non-English language) then both ways will return the same result. If you have chosen English, then the results will be different like I said. I use build 776 from March, 19th (on Bitbucket it's f530f84). As most of the later changes are done to make me happy, I can't imagine that they changed the search. Maybe you display already 50 entries, but still count the pages with 20 entries?
