Well, I can't reproduce it either. On the demo site
(<http://demo.mailpiler.org>) there is no audit log for the
admin@local
user. I tried <http://piler.aaa.fu.acts.hu> and there it seems to work
(but it looks quite different, so I'm not really sure).
this is the latest build, even though I use the future gui, another

is developing. When he's ready, then it will be the default.
In the meantime I noticed that the search result depends on the
language
settings. If you have chosen another language then English (or your
browser default points to a non-English language) then both ways will
return the same result. If you have chosen English, then the results
will be different like I said.

I use build 776 from March, 19th (on Bitbucket it's f530f84). As most
of
the later changes are done to make me happy, I can't imagine that they
changed the search. But I will start to try with the latest version in
a
minute.
the search results depend on exclusively on the query. The query
depends on
what you enter in the search box, the language settings shouldn't
affect it.
One small affect of the search query is changed: a max. hit option is
appended
enabling to display >1000 search hits. But it's a language independent
feature.
I also noticed that tagging and annotating a message doesn't
generate
an event in the audit log.
do you think it's worth to generate an entry?
I really don't know. It's my first encounter with mail archiving
solutions, so I don't have any experience with other products. Maybe
someone with more experience could help us here? But if even a search
yields an entry, I thought it worth mentioning.

for an action that a user tagged a message? Is it a meaningful /
important
action that must be remembered?
The page count calculation seems to be wrong (see my message some
days
ago). There are more entries shown per page than piler calculates
for
the number of result pages. That leads to empty pages at the end of
the
search results.

An idea: on the super stylish version at acts.hu you calculate with 50
entries per page, in my version with 20 entries per page. Maybe you
display already 50 entries, but still count the pages with 20 entries?
There are definitely more than 20 entries displayed per page.
I don't think so. The page calculation uses your current page length.

And finally I somehow managed to generate an entry in the audit log
with an action »??« and the description »unknown id: undefined«. I
have
no idea what I did. Any idea how to find it out?
it usually happens when you refer to a non existing message,
attachment, ...
I'll see if I find anything in the log file.
