well, if ldd /usr/local/sbin/piler reports that it doesn't know about libpiler.so that, then you may add /usr/local/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf.d/piler, then run ldconfig

0022 for root and 0002 for the piler user.

perhaps 0022 would be better for piler, but it makes not much difference

I think for now my curiosity is satiated and bugs are handled. If I
