I think that the best book I've got for Palm programming is:
Palm OS Programming Bible: Featuring Palm VII with CD
By Lonnon R. Foster,Lonnen Foster
ISBN 0764546767
http://www1.fatbrain.com/asp/bookinfo/bookinfo.asp?theisbn=0764546767&vm=
I've read quite a few books on Palm OS programming, and I think this is the
best one so far. I'd usually recommend the O'Reilly book right off the bat,
but their Palm Programming book is weak. It was poorly written, IMO. It was a
rough read. The POSPB is a much better written and better exampled book.
Plus, the O'Reilly Book spends a lot of time showing you how to write a
program that is much easier to develop using Satellite Forms and a Commercial
DB conduit. If you're really interested in that type of program then I'd
suggest Palm Database Programming by Eric Giguere. Caveat: this book is
pretty much a windows-only development book. It's focus is on applications
that interface with DB's using commercial windows conduits. But it's
interesting.
