True. I think IBM(TM) has a PalmOS-compatible(TM) Thing(TM), too.
That makes it 1/8.

Well, I just spent a few minutes on the TESS trademark search and
didn't find anything on "pilot", but I wouldn't promise it. Does 3Com
still hold anything?

Odd. Probably just wanted to save ink, but it seems strange anyway,
because certain styluses don't fit in certain PDA-Palm-like-things,
whatever we'll call it.

Well, from what I can tell, it looks like "pilot" is safe, but I'm
still wary.

Bleah. I don't know off the top of my head, but I'd expect a shell to
choke on that.

PDA may be too broad, but it would work as long as the first reference
to it specifically calls it a Palm(TM) Thing(TM), so people will know
what it more specifically refers to.
Bother. In any case, here's what I'll do, for the time being:
This: <!entity palm system "../template-palm.sgml"> will be placed at
the top of each document. We can brainstorm and I can go ahead and
finish these. I'd expected to have to fiddle with the wording of it,
so I've already been using this entity for a while. It's only used as
a noun.
I'll think on it.
