Lightheadness

Marie,

I, too, have a pit tumor and am dizzy and lightheaded, as well as, other symptoms.

I have found my lightheadedness and dizziness has diminished since I have been taking FLORINEF for low blood pressure (neurally medicated hypotension).  This type of low bp does not show up on the armcuff test we all get at the doctors but on a tilt table test.

Basically, this low bp causes the heart to slow down and the blood to pool in the legs, due to gravity, when we sit or stand for a short time.  Normal people's heart would speed up at these times to compensate for low activity.

You might ask your GP to let you try a low dose of Florinef, rather than go thru the tilt table test, and see if it improves your symptoms.

Florinef makes the body retain more salt, and if taken with increased water during the day, it will increase the blood volume (amount) and thus increase the blood pressure a bit.

My doctor has sometimes let me try medications without tests just to see if they help, but not always.

Hope this helps. I have more info on this if you would like. Just let me know.

Pam
