I agree, Minnie. Neither healthy children nor adults should be put on growth hormone simply because they want to be taller. I also agree that it would affect hormonal balance and may cause problems in the long term. It has never been studied long term. Height should not be a "cosmetic problem" that can be fixed. You have got to wonder what the parents are thinking. Neither one is tall in this article...so they obviously do not have the "tall genes" to give to their son. They need to think long-term instead of "will my son get on the basketball team in highschool?" Sad. |
