Hi there, I'm Mary, 34 yrs old, also...diagnosed after the birth of my 2nd child about 3 1/2 years ago. I am on Dostinex. I have had only 1 MRI and my dr's don't plan to do any further MRI's. Should I be concerned? They plan on having me get my prolactin level checked every 6 mo. and if it's normal, go off the Dostinex and check again in another 6 mo., and go back on it. This sounds ridiculous to me and I've already done this once. I am always having sinus problems, but have sought alternative ways(other than antibiotics) to deal with it myself and it is pretty much working. I also became pregnant 2 mo. after starting Dostinex, so I went off it for the whole pregnancy and then back on it about 3 months after she was born....and still no MRI to even see what happened to the tumor while I was pg! Any suggestions? Does this seem like a good situation that I should just go on without concern? |
