I also had a cough for more than a year and tried antibiotics and even pneumonia medications that didn't help. In the end they discorvered my cough was due to ulcer, it went away when I started treatment with ulcer medication for two weeks, I was told by the pneumologist (who did the pulmonary tests and ruled out anything in my lungs) that in some cases ulcer can cause chronic coughs.
Just a suggestion...it might be ulcer like in my case.
