Hi, I have had great experience at the HealthEast Clinic at Woodwinds hospital in Woodbury, MN, to the east of St. Paul about 10 miles. Dr. Thomas Smith, endocrinology. I have also had great experience at the Mayo Clinic - Dr. Fatourechi. He and the others in the endo group have had much experience, and they practice a conservative medicine (trying meds over surgery). I can't say enough good things about the Mayo group, and I wouldn't do anything big (surgery, hormone replacement therapy, etc.) a the suggestion of a local doctor without the approval of someone from the Mayo group. Also, I have gone to a doctor affiliated with the University of MN, and Fairview Medical, for very specific male fertility issues. Depending on what info you're after, you may consider "research doctors"... Fortunately for me, these are all in my insurance network, but honestly - I'd pay just about anything to get the incredible, high-quality advice that these doctors provided.
