Minnie,

I think you are right about someone dropping the ball at the hospital. The first time they released me from the hospital, after a very long hour drive home, I walked in the door to find that someone from hospital was on the phone saying that I should not have been released due to some bad test results and that I should return immediately! I felt awful, but we got right back into the car and went back for my second stay!

I believe I stayed another week before they would let me go home again. However, after being home for only a day or so, while I was talking to my mother on the phone, she noticed that I was starting to have difficulty talking or making sense! She sent my father to my house right away and he found me nearly unconscious. I was once again rushed back up to the hospital, a second time, for my third stay! I was there for another week.

Through all of these stays, not once did anyone mention me seeing an Endo! A female resident there said that she didn't want me to leave until they discovered what was wrong, but that same day my doctor released me. Go figure...

I am going to call the Endo's office, yet this morning, to see if they have a cancellation list so I can get in sooner if possible.

Are you still taking the ddavp? Or, were you able to stop taking that already? Hopefully the later! Diabetes Insipidus is an awful thing to live with!

Thanks for all of your info, Minnie!!

Julie
