Most non-functioning tumors are addressed with surgery and most are successfully treated that way.  People tend to move on when they have been "cured", so most of them leave the boards.  Those that have regrowth and those with functioning tumors continue to have treatment or issues and remain interested in how others handle their problems.  These boards were very helpfull and supportive to me following my surgery and I hang around to encourage newbies and those with continuing problems.
 
The best advice for someone with a non-functioning tumor is to find a surgeon of excelance.  If the surgery is performed by an expert there is a very high success rate.
