I think both the sublabial and endonasal techniques are both transsphenoid, because all the surgeries have to go through the sphenoid cavity. I had the endonasal kind a few weeks ago, and had the same experience as LoSNaz - no packing, not much pain at all. My nose is still a little tender, but I would definitely recommend the endonasal approach (depending on what your neurosurgeon says of course).
