Acro- it can take a very long time for the growth hormone to start to drop. 5 weeks isn't long enough to be testing. I just had my surgery in March of this year and my Docs tell me that they won't even be testing for another couple of months because it takes so long for the levels to drop. If you don't have any residual tumor, I don't see why they should have to do another operation? Is your Doc suggesting that?
 
How high was your growth hormone levels? Don't forget, that after brain surgery, your hormones are going to go whacky anyways for awhile. I think it's too soon to be thinking about testing- but make sure from your Doc.
