Hope, Free T4 is thyroid, not testosterone. You want total testosterone and/or free testosterone -- there are pros/cons to each test. I think women with PCOS often have high testosterone, but not sure it's consistent. It's a standard procedure to measure testosterone for either males or females with libido problems. If you have PCOS maybe high testosterone is possible -- either way it should be tested. High prolactin can suppress sexual function, even IF testosterone is normal. The first things to examine are whether prolactin is too high and whether testosterone is too low. If either one is off that can cause problems. |
