I too have panhypopituitarism and for about 8 years or so took growth hormone also.  For me there really were no side effects besides the usually minimal pain of the injection.  In recent years there have been some studies that suggest taking growth hormone is not only beneficial as a child but also as an adult.  I am wondering does your child presently take testosterone, if it is indeed true that he has panhypopituitarism he should be on some sort of replacement testosterone also.  Is your child presently seeing an endocrinologist.  Did the doctor tell what the panhypopituitarism is a result of.  Sincerely Kevin.  Please don't hesitate to ask further questions.
