I was taking topamaz 50mg. twice a day. The neurologist knew I had a 1.6 cm. macroadenoma but since it was not close to my optic chiasm we were just watching it. I have suffered from nigraines before and the headaches I had were very different from my previous migraines. The topamaz did not help my headaches (I think because they were not migraines) but they did help me lose weight. They had a positive effect on my appetite which is listed as a side effect. This may be a good or bad thing for you.
