If your T4/TSH are low they will probably have you start on thyroid meds. When your female hormones are low, there are many different options that they can put you on. I take Estratest, Prometrium, and wear a estrogen patch. But there are a lot of women that I talk to that take a variety of other HRT replacement. I see both my gyno and my endo/pituitary specialist. The gyno started the HRT for the female hormones, but it is the endo who makes the final decision for me. I also take growth hormone, and I'm currently also taking dexamethasone. The endo makes the ultimate decision since I may so many hormones out of whack!! Wow, you are young to be going through all of this. How are you coping with all of it? |
