Hi Sarah,

Glad to hear from you, sorry you are still testing-I know how difficult that is. How are you feeling? Any new symptoms?

Have you had 24 hour UFCs or midnight salivary cortisols? What tests have you had done to check for Cushing's? I have been testing for over three years and recently finally had salivary cortisols done that turned out to be abnormally high. Have they checked your ACTH level?

If you are not happy with the doctor you currently see, I encourage you to consult another endocrinologist. If you believe that your health is suffering because you have not been diagnosed so you can be treated (with surgery), you may need to consult another endo. You should be having all your pituitary hormone levels checked with a known pituitary tumor. It is very important to be very thorough in testing.

I have had hormone levels checked this year that I had not had checked in the past three-and-a-half years of testing and they were either low or high and since they were ignored for several years, I now have secondary diseases from the hormonal imbalances. If they had been checked years ago, I could have been treated and possibly prevented the diseases. Checking ALL hormone levels is very important. I am 27yo and I have diseases of the elderly. I was diagnosed with the pit tumor when I was 24...pit "cyst" (told it was "incidental") at 19. It took me 8 years from my first symptoms to be diagnosed.

I will keep you in my prayers.

Take care,
Meri
