I know testing for Cushings is long and drawn out. The disease typically does progress over time, so sticking with your endo long term isn't a bad idea. If you are textbook disease, the diagnosis can move rather rapidly, but for those who aren't, the diagnosis takes a long time. Your endo can document disease progression - so any new symptoms or new underlying diseases should be reported to him. Your endo can build a case over time with test results that you do indeed have the disease. If you run from doctor to doctor, you basically have to start over each time, as each doctor wants his/her own test results. If you didn't have a doctor who was helping you, then by all means, seek out help. I think your doctor is doing everything he can to try to figure out your puzzle. Hang in there. As for me... it is time for me to see my local endocrinolgist. I actually see him today. ![]() . I'll get to do my own testing this week, and sit on pins and needles for the results next week.
