A Update on my Medical Condition

Hi Sarah,

It sounds like you may have cyclical hypersecretion (whether ACTH or GH), since you have symptoms come and go. Most likely, I also  have cyclical Cushing's. It is very hard to diagnose.

If you are not happy with the endocrinologist that you see, do not stay with him. It is your health, your body-you are the consumer, you can choose to consult whomever you wish to see regardless of your PCP's preference. If your PCP is interfering with your care, you may want to see another PCP. You need to find someone who is very knowledgeable and thorough. If you are not satisfied with your care, you need to see another doctor. If my PCP had her way, I would only need to exercise (she thinks the tumor is "incidental"), but I see specialists that know a lot more about pit tumors/Cushing's than she does.

I am still in limbo-I have not had surgery yet. I am praying I will have it soon so I can be treated FINALLY

Take care. Enjoy your week!

Meri
