It;s not even a doctor that's doing the implant, the operation is so simple that a nurse does it (i tihnk she needs a lbit of special training to do it) and the cut is the size of a buttonhole, so they will just give u local anestetic, no way it will be general anestatic. And 6 months later they do it all over again, but then on a different place.
