Hi Annetta – I was glad to see your post as I have been wondering how Bill was doing. I am sorry to hear that his bipolar disorder is causing problems, and I hope that the gall bladder surgery went well. I don’t remember if Bill had had surgery for the tumor before. Is there a reason why they are trying to medicate it? I don’t know if you remember who I am, but Jason is my son. He was the teenager that was put on Sandostatin LAR shots at about the same time that Bill started on his shots. Well, the wait a see approach turned out to be a poor choice for Jason. His tumor grew 25% from December to June. Jason had the surgery July 11th. We are still waiting for results from the MRI that was taken Tuesday, but his blood work shows all of his hormones within normal limits.

I am hope that he is able to get his Sandostatin LAR soon. It never occurred to me that the hurricane would disrupt medical supplies. How frustrating when you know that Bill’s hormone levels are causing him trouble. I am sending positive thoughts your way in hopes that the issue will be resolved soon and Bill can start on the new drug. - Chris – Ogy’s Mom
