Hi, new to chat and am so glad I found this site. Question is about fluid. I was diagnosed with a 5mm prolactinoma 4 years ago having struggled for two years beforehand trying to understand my rapid weight gain and weird fluid retention. I was given dostinex which brought about my first period in six months and over about 18months my weight very gradually decreased, my tumour shrunk and I eventually stopped taking dostinex. Now I'm experiencing the same nightmare all over again having put on 12 pounds in the last 6 weeks. My boobs are like rocks, my stomach and arms are swollen and I can virtually feel and see my body growing daily. My question is really about fluid - my face is puffy, my whole body is swollen but this is particularly noticeable on my legs and feet and even toes -it's like my tissues have been pumped full of water. I'm told my prolactin is still within 'normal range' (just) but have quickly discounted the statisticians approach. Has anybody had this swollen experience and if so did you find anything which helped? I can't find a connection between prolactin and fluid but logically surely there must be one. Welcome any thoughts. |
