Some people are being discharged the day after surgery but for those of use who were required to stay a tad longer, the issue was to be evaluated for our endocrine function. You are not stable following surgery. I developed diabetes insipidus which was not confirmed until the second day after surgery. I also stuck around for a week before going home.
