Hi, I'm also 200+lbs and recovered just fine in 6 wks. I look after my elderly ill mother and had her in respite though for about 4 of those weeks so I could rest properly. Hopefully you have someone who can help you out with your kids for a few weeks so you can do the same. They had me hooked up to intravenous pain med when I came out of surgery. A morphine pump that you to push a button when your in pain and only allows so much so you don't overdo it. The pump was taken out the next day and then I was given oral meds. As long as you listen to the docs advise I'm sure you'll do just fine. |
