Residual Tumor, or is it the actual gland

Hi again - I have been reading over old posts, and I don't understand something.  So many individuals have had their tumor removed, and no residual tumor is showing on the MRI, but they are still having elevated levels that indicate the tumor is still present.  Could it be that the actual pituitary gland is producing the elevated levels?  Could the only long term solution be removing the gland?  (Like Bill did)  Jason is 19, and unless he is in school will not have medical insurance.  Do we continue down the path of medication to suppress his growth hormone levels?  He will have another MRI in June, but as of December his "tumor" was not showing on the MRI.  With the hair loss that Jason is suffering I wonder about the long term solutions to his medical issues.  God give me wisdom to help Jason through this difficult journey he is on.  Thank you in advance for your thoughts everyone - Have a good day - Chris - Ogy's Mom
