Here's an update on my referal adventure: I contacted OHSU and talked to Dr. Ludlam about a referal. Then discussed it with a person from his office (very helpful) who sent me a list of tests he recommended, so I could give it to my insurance. My insurance said, why you wanna go out of network? No pit docs, says me. Soooo, they said, let us look around and see what we come up with first. They found a place in Sacramento, Ca, Sutter Speciality Services. So I contacted them and talked to the person who does the client referral stuff, and he is working on it. He talked to my PCP last week so I will hopefully get an answer some time next week. So I am just playing the waiting game, the insurance game, and the frustration game. I also plan to have surgery on my foot this year, but I want the pit checked out first, so it seems to just go on and on. When I know more, I'll drop a line. Cheers, Maureen |
