Thanks for the replies! It's funny, how just a couple of days can change things. My wife and I talked and decided that exercise was a very good thing and that I should do things that I enjoyed as I wasn't going to force myself to go to the gym. So I started golfing. I walk/. I cut way back on the diet Pepsi and I have slept very well the last couple of days. I am feeling much better
 
In any event it sounds like I just need to lead a really super healthy life and work out a lot and I will be okay - and that's not such a bad thing
 
I have to say that it gives me a great deal of hope to know that this has worked out for a lot of people. I really feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel now
