I have a question. In June 2006, I was diagnosed with a 8 mm prolactinoma via MRI. My MRI was done because I had a high level of prolactin 71.1 I just had a blood test showing that it is 1.6 which is lower than the reference rage of 6 thru 29.0. My Endo is difficult to get a hold of so I mostly communicate via fax and thru his RN or assistants. They dont like me too much because I ask question which they never seem to answer. I asked if my prolactin is low shouldn't I stop or lower Cabergoline??? I take it twice a week and I've only been on it since end of June. In the beginning I was having weird side effects such as vivid dreams, nightmares, high blood presure, plus heart palpitations. However, I was having this before, when I unfortunately took Lamisil for nail fungus, this opened a can of worms for my health. On a diff. topic I've been having seizure like symtomps about 4 since May 2006, first one was after taking Lamisil. I am conscience when I have them, but I feel blood goes to my head. A few time i've take my blood presure and it slighty up like 138/80 which for me before all th is started is unusual. I'm normally at 112/70. So body shakes for a few minutes and it is very unconfortable. I onced peed on my bed. Also ever since taking Lamisil I too have having non-stop raised adrenaline or raised metabolism. I've somewhat controlled it with nutrtition based on advice from a Metabolic nutrtionist. Plus my PCP had me on generic Xanax and then Adavan. Which somewhat helps ease the symptoms until I find a dx for the seizure, or shakes or the raised metoboslims. FYI I've been having burnning sensation on my right kidney, this is when sometimes seizures come on. not that often. I had to push for test. 1) ultra sound showed a dark mass, then dr. recommended a CT, which did not show the dark mass but a leison. On monday, I am having an MRI hopfully this will give me an answer to what I've been having. Questions: 1. Has anyone been on Cabergoline, and once your test show normal did you continue taking it? or did you stop? 2. Has anyone experience seizure like symptoms? My neurologist said this would be an adrenal gland issue but my endo did 24 urine sample to test me and it came out normal. 3. Has anyone have multiple health issue creap up due to the Prolactinoma or are these health issues separate from the Petuitary. Can someone please give me some insights. I appreciate it. Alex |
