Hi Sbux Addict, Thanks for the note. Yes Dr. Katznelson has tried the
Hydrocortizone pills and no benefit. As of today Dr. Katznelson has me on the
daily injections of Somavert 10mg and now I'm starting the 20mg daily shots.
Also trying testosterone replacement. This seems to help with my muscles pain.
Thing are the same regarding fatigue with daily dull head aches. When I
push myself to play golf or work in the yard I'm very fatiuged the next day.
My MRI in March 2007 was clear no Pit Tumor regrowth. It's just my IGF-1 is
still at 245 using and assay of 80 to 220. So I still have active arcomegaly.
It's like trying to find a needle in a hay shack. I need to lose weight also.
Up to 240 punds in March and now down to 230. I have noticed allot of comments
on the message board about low CARB diets. I think I need to cut back on the
carbs. Maybe diet will help. As I mentioned in my 1st e-mail I tried
Sandostatin LAR 10mg monthly injections and dropped my IGF-1 level to 137 but I
did not feel any better over an 8 month period while on Sandostain. So now
it's time to try out the Somavert. I feel like a science project. I would
just like to get rid of these dull head achces. I'm hoping the Somavert 20mg
will work. SO far the Somavert 10mg over the last 6 weeks has not lower my
IGF-1. My GH level is still good at .6. If anyone has more inputs I welcome
your comments. Thanks, Dave
